Alabama — Good People Brewing Company released a social distancing shirt to let the world know not to cough on you, and will be donating a portion of the proceeds to help the service industry family.
Alaska — In May, Peak 2 Peak Alaska put on SIP AK, a virtual beer experience, to support the Brewers Guild of Alaska (BGA). The BGA website also offers craft brewers COVID resources, including funding options from the State of Alaska CARES Act.
Arizona — Flying Leap and Blue Clover joined the nationwide effort to produce hand sanitizer, proceeds going to local hospitals.
Arkansas — Rock Town Distillery dedicated a portion of their production facility to produce hand sanitizer.
California — Sierra Nevada partnered with Chico, CA-based Enloe Medical Center, a local community hospital, perform COVID-19 tests by producing viral transport medium in its brewery lab, increasing the availability of local testing.
Colorado — City Star Brewing activated quickly and with power in response to pandemic with their Beer it Forward campaign, Keep It Flowing shirts, and more. They were also one of the first breweries in Colorado to join Weathered Souls’ Black is Beautiful initiative.
Connecticut — The Connecticut Brewers Guild teamed up with local breweries to produce “Guild Pils”, with a portion of all sales will be donated to the Hospitality Employees Relief Fund.
Florida — First Magnitude Brewing Company is giving back and making people laugh with hilarious videos on Instagram.
Georgia — Creature Comforts Brewing Company has repurposed its equipment to produce hand sanitizer for the community in the midst of the nationwide shortage.
Hawaii — Hawaii Sea Spirits and Maui Brewing Co. added hand sanitizer production to their operations to support first responders.
Idaho — Mill 95, an Idaho processor and marketer of premium hops, has launched the Brewery Relief Program that brewers can apply to here.
Illinois — Goose Island Brewing Co. crafted Sunshine Tomorrow Blonde to benefit the Chicago Community COVID Response Fund, a collaborative effort with United Way and the Chicago Community Trust.
Indiana — In April, Daredevil Brewing Co., Monon Beverage Brokers, Fountain Square Brewing Co., Indy High Bines, Sugar Creek Malt Co., The Royal Group, Sun King Brewery, Indy Independent Relief Fund and Centerpoint Brewing got together to make Social Distance Pale Ale as an effort to raise funds for service industry workers impacted by pandemic.
Iowa — Across Iowa, beer distribution companies are stepping it up to support the hospitality industry by supplying a truck and driver to the Food Bank of Iowa, among many other efforts.
Kansas — In the Sunflower State, Governor Kelly’s administration established a $5 million Hospitality Industry Relief Emergency (HIRE) Fund to provide bridge loans for Kansas’ hospitality sector. Sandhills Brewing in Mission launched the Beer it Forward program for guests to purchase beers in advance for first responders and medical team members, too.
Kentucky — Bourbon producers from all over Kentucky, including Wilderness Trail Distillery, joined the hand sanitizer production task force to support front-line workers.
Louisiana — Urban South Brewery, the largest craft brewery in New Orleans, recently won a bid to produce 50,000 eight-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer for the State of Louisiana Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
Maine — Allagash Brewing Company released Nowaday Blonde to help local families and hosted a necessities drive, to name a couple of their relief efforts.
Maryland — Local breweries are teamed up to brew and release, Brew for BAM, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Brewers Association of Maryland.
Massachusetts — Harpoon Brewery released For the Frontline, a community ale. A portion of the proceeds from these sales will go to benefit the Boston Resiliency Fund, Off Their Plate, and The Vermont Community Foundation’s VT COVID-19 Response Fund to help provide relief to those affected by the pandemic.
Michigan — Hand sanitizer is not getting old, and still in demand. Green Door Distilling Co. donated approximately a quarter of the hand sanitizer they produced to senior centers, frontline, and essential workers.
Minnesota — Twin Cities-based food upcycler, NETZRO, teamed up with Lift Bridge Brewing Company, Modist Brewing, Dual Citizen Brewing, and Tattersall Distilling to form the Twin Cities Spent Grain Co-op and launched a direct-to-consumer spent grain flour blend.
Mississippi — Cathead Distillery launched a quarantine cocktail-making program to keep their bartenders engaged at home.
Missouri — 4 Hands Brewing Co. added hand sanitizer to their operations. Rather than charging for the product, they’re asking for donations to fuel a fund for the St. Louis hospitality industry.
Montana — FreeFall Brewery set up a relief fund for their employees and a discounted meals for those in need.
Nebraska — Nebraskan breweries teamed up to release Nebraska Strong Red Ale, with a mission to raise money for those affected by recent floods in the state.
Nevada — Seven Troughs Distillery converted their operations to produce hand sanitizer.
New Hampshire — New Hampshire breweries Great North Aleworks, Woodstock Inn Brewery, Moat Mountain Brewing Company, Smuttynose Brewing Company and Great Rhythm Brewing Company have collaborated on a new beer in order to support the New Hampshire Hospitality Employee Relief Fund (NHHERF). All of the proceeds from this beer will be donated to the NHHERF so they can continue supporting employees of the hospitality industry who have been impacted by COVID-19.
New Jersey — Departed Soles launched Hops4Heros as a way to pay it forward to those on the front lines. The initiative asked customers to purchase a $25 growler fill as a donation to those are the front of helping battle the virus.
New Mexico — Steel Bender Brewyard, Second Street Brewery, Sierra Blanca Brewing Co., Albertsons and Admiral Beverage collaborated on an IPA to aid battle against hunger during COVID 19. All proceeds from six-pack can sales will be donated to Storehouse New Mexico, a nonprofit community-based food pantry that provides food to people in need.
New York — Brooklyn Brewery developed a comprehensive COVID resources database for craft breweries.
North Carolina — Hi-Wire Brewing released “Donate To Service Industry Workers By Drinking This Beer” where a portion of the proceeds from every 6-pack of this IPA sold was donated to the USBG National Charity Foundation and the North Carolina Restaurant Workers Relief Fund.
North Dakota — Drekker Brewing and Pryes Brewing crafted a socially distant collaboration that was not complete until two separately available beers were combined. Additionally, Drekker participated in the “All Together” initiative launched by Other Half, raising money and lend a hand to bar and restaurant workers who have been laid off or had their income drastically reduced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ohio — Eight central Ohio breweries made renditions of the Perseverance recipe to support the Ohio Restaurant Employee Relief Fund..
Oklahoma — The Cane Creek Distillery, like many others, joined the nationwide effort in helping with the hand sanitizer shortage. They have donated more than 300 gallons to first responders.
Oregon — Cascade Lakes gave free family-style meals to both laid-off and current employees to support staff and avoid food waste.
Pennsylvania — McCall Collective Brewing Co., a brand-new brewery in Allentown, PA, donated all the proceeds from its very first beer—Collective Contributions, an American wheat ale— to local nonprofits to support them through the COVID crisis.
Rhode Island — Grey Sail’s new distillery and sister operation, South County Distillery, also converted their operations to producing hand sanitizer.
South Carolina — Island Brands launched their Spread the Love Relief Fund to help support Food and Beverage industry friends during the COVID-19 crisis.
South Dakota — Valiant Vineyards is making both hand sanitizer and sanitary wipes to help protect their community.
Tennessee — The second annual Chattanooga Pup Crawl is going virtual, where local brewers and distillers have teamed up with the Humane Educational Society to raise money and awareness.
Texas — Craft Waco was formed with the mission to allow boars and breweries to continue to grow during the pandemic. With limited revenue due to the shutdown, the initiative is set up to continue the support for the community’s local craftsmen.
Vermont — Caledonia Spirits produced 20,000 gallons of hand sanitizer and donated bottles of sanitizer to local EMS services and hospitals.
Virginia — The Virginia Wineries Association teamed up with local breweries, distilleries, distributors, and cider companies to produce hand sanitizer to donate to frontline workers.
Washington — Silver City Brewery created #ZiggyForAll to support rotating charities.
West Virginia — Weathered Ground Brewery, The Peddler, and Bad Shepherd Beer Company have committed to donate the entire sales proceeds from the sale of Black is Beautiful Stout to local groups that work for social and racial justice.
Wisconsin — Brew Pipeline partnered up with Ale Asylum to bring FVCK COVID nationwide. $2 from each case of the beer sold will go to benefit the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund.
Wyoming — Melvin Brewing used a percentage of all its beer sales in April to support its front-of-house staff as well to benefit a local charity called Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, which funds a host of organizations locally.
