PARKER, CO— It’s the best time of year at Barnett & Son Brewing Company, when the brewery taps its traditional German-style Märzen. This year’s Oktoberfest celebration will be complemented with the release of Dunkel Weizen, stein hoisting competitions, and stellar food truck offerings.
The celebration kicks off Friday, September 17 with the Poutine Me food truck. On Saturday, September 18, guests can enjoy eats from the Schnitzelwirt food truck that serves authentic German Schnitzel, Spätzle and Strudel. A stein holding competition will be held each evening at 6:30pm. Winners will receive fabulous prizes, including Crowlers and merchandise.
Barnett & Son created custom steins for this celebration that will be for sale out of the tasting room while supplies last. Fill yours with the traditional Oktoberfest Märzen— a rich and malty 5.6% ABV Lager with a balance of clean Noble hop bitterness— or the 5.4% ABV Dunkel Weizen— with sweet wheat maltiness, notes of banana and clove esters from yeast, and a hint of chocolate.
“Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival and has been an important part of Bavarian culture since 1810. At Barnett's Oktoberfest, you are not only joining beer lovers from around the world, but you are becoming a part of our seven year tradition, and counting. After a summer of lagering, we’re very excited to raise our steins in good company, and we hope you’ll join us. Prost!”
