LONE TREE, CO — Lone Tree Brewing Company released its 2017 batch of English Old Ale this week. This winter seasonal ale brewed with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice was formerly called Arctic Spice Old Ale. It belongs to the brewery’s Branching Out Series of experimental, limited quantity beers in large format bottles.
This beer’s spices follow aromatics of dark fruit on the nose. The first sip of this 8 percent ABV Old Ale delivers notes of sweet, rich molasses. Roasted malts mingled with earthy hop notes round out the finish. It’s a hearty beer that holds its own in winter weather.
Bombers of Lone Tree English Old Ale will be available at liquor stores across Colorado while supplies last.
