Ska Brewing flagships True Blonde Ale and Pink Vapor Stew are recognized as finalists among the 15 Years of Good Food Awards Finalists.
DURANGO, CO— Ska Brewing flagships True Blonde Ale and Pink Vapor Stew are recognized as finalists among the 15 Years of Good Food Awards Finalists, a special tribute to past Good Food Awards winners who have earned the most votes from the awards’ prestigious judges.
For the first time ever, the Good Food Awards collected ballots to determine finalists— more than 8,000 of ‘em— from the public in support of their favorite producers who had previously won Good Food Awards. Ska’s True Blonde Ale was a winner in 2019; Pink Vapor Stew won in 2021, and again in 2023.
“Ska Brewing has always been a big fan of the Good Food Foundation and their mission,” says Marketing Director Kristen Muraro. “It is an honor to be recognized as a finalist this year, and to be included among such great brewing companies."
Among a competitive pool of past winners, Ska has two-top scoring beers in this Community Choice vote for the 2025 Beer finalists category alongside three other beers from Fullsteam, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, and Maine Beer Co.. In total, 91 products from 86 companies are finalists in categories that also include wine, cider, grains, pickles, cheese, chocolate, and more. The 2025 Good Food Awards winners will be announced on June 28 at the Good Food Mercantile in New York City

Lone Tree Brewing Honey Lager Hits Cans For Spring
Honey Lager by Lone Tree Brewing hits the shelves this week, and lager lovers can find it on tap at both of the brewery’s South Metro Denver locations.
COLORADO— Lone Tree Brewing presents a new spring seasonal, freshly canned and available in Colorado and Kansas. Honey Lager hits the shelves this week, and lager lovers can find it on tap at both of the brewery’s South Metro Denver locations.
Lone Tree selects its seasonal cans based on popularity in the tasting rooms, making Honey Lager an obvious choice for the 2025 spring offering. 2-row barley, Dextrin, Biscuit, Honey, and Munich malts comprise the grist of this Golden Lager, with additions of Jasmine rice and Colorado honey that create sweet malt aroma and subtle honey flavor. Cascade and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh hops balance this lager’s sweeter side, and round out the beer’s crisp, refreshing finish.
"This beer signals a fresh start to the spring season for us,” says Lone Tree Director of Brewhouse Operations Jerry Siote. “It's a delicate dance when incorporating the local honey at the right stage of fermentation to get a finished product that's not overly sweet, but still carries the essential aroma and flavor qualities of the honey itself. The Jasmine rice comprises more than 30% of the overall grain bill, and lends a very soft, vanilla-like profile that increases drinkability of the beer. It's an extremely balanced lager, and it's something we've been excited to share with the market for a while now.”
Honey Lager will be available on draft at Lone Tree Brewing’s tasting rooms in Lone Tree and Parker, as well as packaged in cans and kegs for the Colorado and Kansas markets. Ask for it on draft at your favorite bars in Colorado, and look for canned 12oz 6 packs while supplies last this spring season.

Bootstrap Brewing Announces Double Lush Puppy Juicy IPA
Bootstrap Brewing debuts Double Lush Puppy Juicy IPA, with 1% of profits supporting the fostering, housing, and rehoming of Colorado dogs.
LONGMONT, COLORADO— Bootstrap Brewing announced today its Double Lush Puppy Juicy IPA will begin hitting store shelves in March through distribution partners in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.
“When we released Lush Puppy Juicy IPA at 6.3% ABV in 2019, it became our #2 best-seller behind Insane Rush IPA. We wanted to take the same juicy, hazy characteristics of Lush Puppy and turn it into a 9.2% Imperial Juicy IPA that was easy-drinking, full of flavor and aroma, with value-pricing the consumer could afford,” explains Steve Kaczeus, Owner/Brewer of Bootstrap Brewing. “Thus was born Double Lush Puppy Juicy IPA with the perfect blend of hops and malt. Idaho 7 and Citra hops combine to give a tangerine flavor with notes of citrus, tropical fruits and stone fruits. Double Lush Puppy Juicy IPA is for both the casual beer drinker and the adventurous craft beer enthusiast who wants a little more cowbell.”
The company plans to donate 1% of beer sale profits this year to nonprofit groups and shelters focused on fostering, housing, and rehoming dogs. “We did a similar program with our Lush Puppy launch in 2019, and with the help of our distribution and on-premise partners were able to save a lot of pups that year and we’re planning to replicate that with this beer as well,” explained Leslie Kaczeus, Chief of Stuff for Bootstrap Brewing. “Coloradans love their dogs and it’s always fun to meet people who say they see their dog on our can artwork.”
Double Lush Puppy Juicy IPA is a tropical, citrusy, luscious IPA that encourages another sip. At 9.2% ABV and 41 IBUs, Double Lush Puppy will be available in 6 packs of 12oz cans and kegs for draft accounts.

Lone Tree Brewing Reflects On Growth and Two Locations In 2024 Year In Review
After opening their second location in Parker, Colorado in spring of 2024, Lone Tree Brewing experienced a year of growth— in volume, and most importantly in community.
LONE TREE, CO— After opening their second location in Parker, Colorado in spring of 2024, Lone Tree Brewing experienced a year of growth— in volume, and most importantly in community.
Here is the 2024 Lone Tree Brewing Company Year In Review.
Beer In Review
On top of the brewery’s flagships, Lone Tree released several seasonal and specialty packaged beers in 2024. These included Hefeweizen, Juicy IPA, Oktoberfest, Vanilla Caramel Amber, Centennial Hat Trick IPA, and a lime-infused variant of their award-winning Mexican Lager recipe.
Hop Zombie, the cult-followed Imperial Red IPA, crept back to the taps for the twelfth year. As per usual, it produced a day’s worth of temporary insanity with a line out the door awaiting its arrival.
Production
In 2024, Lone Tree’s brewing team produced 3,935 barrels of beer brewed with 270,013 pounds of grain and 4,760 pounds of hops. They filled more than half a million 12 oz. cans– 526,608 to be exact.
Throughout the year, the brewery recaptured 219,480 gallons of water. Their reused pallet wraps saved 410 pounds of plastic wrap from landfills.
Team
Upon opening of the new location, former tasting room manager Michael Webster was promoted to Director of Tasting Rooms and Matt Glocke and Candace Peterson were promoted to manage the Lone Tree and Parker tasting rooms, respectively.
Also in 2024, Lone Tree added a new Sales Representative, Brandon “Bo” Bontrager; a new Packaging Manager, Jaden Lundell; and a new Packaging Assistant, Jeff Gombos, to the growing team. In total, the brewery now has 26 employees.
Sales & Distribution
Lone Tree sold their packaged beers across Colorado in 2024 via their longstanding partnership with Western Distributing. Sixty five percent of these sales were in the Denver Metro area. The brewery also sells beer in Kansas through Worldwide Beverage Group.
In January, Lone Tree began packaging and distributing Blueberry Blonde Ale. This SKU quickly climbed to the top of their distribution charts, ending the year as the company’s second most popular SKU (after Mexican Lager) at 12 percent of total distribution volume.
Community and Events
Lone Tree donated more than $20,000 to their nonprofit partners last year. These contributions included $14,000 for the Bridge Transition Program at the brewery’s annual car show. Other recipients of their philanthropic efforts included the Douglas County Library, Drink for Pink, Lim359, the Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue, the Lone Tree Police department and Special Olympics of Colorado, and the Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue.
Lone Tree celebrated 13 years in business with a brewery bus loop between tasting rooms in December. Both locations are home to loyal regulars, many of whom came out to celebrate the anniversary.
Moving Forward
“It has been a successful year of taking roots in the community of Parker and continuing to grow friends,” says Assistant Tasting Room Manager Candace Peterson. The first anniversary of Lone Tree’s second location is just weeks away, slated for March 1. Customers can also look forward to a Parker-specific rendition of the famed Hop Zombie— an Imperial Juicy IPA that will be the first in the Hop Zombie: Summer Solstice Series to debut on June 21.
In addition to this Hop Zombie variant, the Lone Tree brewing team has been working to refresh its IPA recipes. They’ll add a new Hazy IPA to the canned lineup this summer.
“The brewhouse staff has been hard at work refining existing recipes and experimenting with new methods and techniques at the Parker location,” says Co-Owner and Director of Brewhouse Operations Jerry Siote. “These efforts are instrumental in bringing the best quality beer to our customers in 2025, and beyond.”

Lone Tree Brewing Premieres Centennial Hat Trick IPA
Centennial Hat Trick IPA, named for its three Centennial hop ingredient additions, is a West Coast-style IPA brewed with American-grown Centennial hops, Centennial Cryo Hops®, and Centennial HyperBoost™ for a multi-layered flavor profile of citrus, pine, and tropical notes.
COLORADO– Lone Tree Brewing is excited to release a brand new IPA crafted with nouveau Yakima Chief Hops products. The new beer, Centennial Hat Trick IPA, taps at both Lone Tree locations Friday and hits shelves across Colorado next week.
The fact that it’s brewed in the Centennial State is an added bonus for its namesake.
Yakima Chief Hops Cryo Hops® pellets are the concentrated lupulin of whole-leaf hops containing resins and aromatic oils, and HyperBoost™ is a concentrated hop oil extract intended to amplify hop aromatics and increase yield. Both of these products are made from single-hop varieties to deliver variety-specific aroma boosts to the finished beer.
In nearly thirteen years in business now, Lone Tree has always experimented with different hop varieties and combinations, hopping techniques, terpenes, and other innovative hop products. “By using Centennial in all three forms (traditional T-90 hop pellets, concentrated Cryo Hops® pellets and now the concentrated HyperBoost™ oil extract), the resulting beer can hold a very saturated and layered hop profile with all aroma and flavor components shining through at the same time,” says Jerry Siote, Director of Brewhouse Operations. “Not only does it help the grower community continue to develop these products with our partners at Yakima Chief Hops; it also helps brewers accomplish a bold IPA with more yield to go around.”
Centennial Hat Trick IPA debuts on draft and in canned 6-packs at both of Lone Tree’s locations on Friday, November 22. Hop lovers can find it in select establishments and retailers across Colorado through the winter season.

Crisp, Cold Pale By Ska Brewing Hits Shelves Year-Round
Ska Brewing Cold Pale will be added to a revamped winter mix pack that also includes Euphoria Pale Ale, Modus Hoperandi, and Ska Lager.
DURANGO, CO— Ska Brewing combined the best of all the beer worlds in their latest release, Cold Pale. This incredibly crushable Pale Ale is crisp and refreshing, and now available year-round.
“Pale Ale is my litmus test when I go to a brewery,” says Ska Brewing Co-Founder and CEO Dave Thibodeau, “so when we went to create a mainstay Pale Ale at Ska, especially because we don’t already have this style available all year, we did a lot of research and development to get the hop profile exactly where we wanted it to be. A lot of people appreciate hops but don’t want a super bitter beer, and they also don’t want a 6 to 8% IPA all the time. At Ska we like to have more than one beer in a sitting, so it seemed natural to make something more drinkable.”
The result is Cold Pale— subtle enough for people who prefer lagers over hoppy beers, and unique in hop profile to satiate those who do.
This new style category of Cold IPA and Pale Ale is brewed with lager yeast strains at cold temperatures. They’re crisp like lagers with much less ester-y aroma that’s produced by ale yeast. Cold Pale is the result of years of experimentation with hopping schedules— from kettle to early fermentation to dry hopping. Ska’s brewing team added Tettnang and Columbus hops as early fermentation additions that through biotransformation yield melon and grape flavors and aromas that these spicy, citrus-y hops wouldn’t typically produce with ale yeast. It’s then dry hopped with classic C hops (Cascade, Chinook, and Centennial) that layer on pine and fresh citrus notes. It’s a crispy, easy drinker that weighs in at 5.5 percent ABV.
Cold Pale joins Ska’s canned beer lineup this fall alongside Ska’s new Mexican-style Cold IPA, another lager yeast fermented ale recipe made with the same Mexico City-sourced yeast strain as Mexican Logger as well as agave and flaked blue maize.
Cold Pale is available in canned 6-packs across Ska’s national distribution footprint, and on tap now at the brewery World Headquarters in Durango, Colorado. This beer will also be added to a revamped winter mix pack that also includes Euphoria Pale Ale, Modus Hoperandi, and Ska Lager.

Four Ounces To Creative Freedom; Ska Brewing Releases Limited Specialty Beers In 16oz. Cans
Skull Juice Juicy Double IPA and Prickly Pear Sour will be available in this new format in very limited quantities while supplies last, with more speciality releases to follow.
DURANGO, CO— Ska Brewing has even more beer for their customers— four ounces more to be exact. After twenty years of packaging its craft in aluminum, the brewery debuts 16oz. cans today. Skull Juice Juicy Double IPA and Prickly Pear Sour will be available in this new format in very limited quantities while supplies last, with more speciality releases to follow.
When Ska first started canning in 2003, they were one of the first craft breweries in the country to can their liquid. Now with the implementation of the CanCollar® Corsair™ provided by WestRock, long awaited 16oz. 4-packs have become a reality.
Skull Juice Juicy DIPA is a golden, tropical hazy hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 hops. It boasts aromas of pineapple, guava, and orange. The can captures its barbaric and tropical vibes with a multi-toned tiling of the iconic Ska skeleton chewing on hops.
Prickly Pear Sour Ale pours a beautiful reddish pink hue from the addition of real fruit added for fermentation. It’s a smooth-drinker with a noticeable tartness and a slightly melon sweetness. A bold, black and white graphic meets colorful cacti on this can’s groovy label.
More surface area on these can means more room for creative design, so this new package format was a flex opportunity for Ska’s inspired Designer Cara Nosek. The new can artwork is a departure from Ska’s typical branding with the signature checkerboard stripe, while still including bold colors and comic book elements that the brewery is known for.
Taste these fresh beers on tap at Ska Brewing’s World Headquarters in Durango today at 4pm, and find the new cans across Ska’s distribution footprint. Later this year, Ska will release more small-batch, experimental beers from their Mod pilot system in 16oz. can format.

The Ska Lager Joins Canned Craft Lager Lineup at Ska Brewing
The Ska Lager joins Ska’s decorated and well-known canned lager family that includes Mexican Logger and its dark, winter sister Mexican-Style Lager Dark, Rue B. Soho Grapefruit Lager, and Ska Oktoberfest.
DURANGO, CO— Ska Brewing is psyched to present the next lager in its year-round canned lineup: The Ska Lager will debut at the brewery World Headquarters on Thursday, March 9 and hit shelves next week.
The Ska Lager came to fruition much like Ska Brewing’s OG craft Lager Mexican Logger circa 1999: the brewing team’s beer style of choice is clean, refreshing lager that can be sipped any time of year— or time of day.
The 4.8% ABV Ska Lager is a no-nonsense, snappy, crisp, bright, easy-drinking lager with the gentlest floral aroma lent from its additions of Tettnang and Bravo hops. It’s a beer that makes you want another beer.
The Ska Lager joins Ska’s decorated and well-known canned lager family that includes Mexican Logger and its dark, winter sister Mexican-Style Lager Dark, Rue B. Soho Grapefruit Lager, and Ska Oktoberfest.
Grab a can of The Ska Lager at its release party on Thursday, March 9 at Ska Brewing’s World Headquarters where Rob Webster will play live at 5pm.

Lone Tree Brewing Hefeweizen Returns For Spring
After a successful launch of Lone Tree’s Hefeweizen in cans in 2022, the brewery is excited to bring back this seasonal offering both in 12 oz. 6-packs and on draft.
LONE TREE, CO— Lone Tree Brewing Company Hefeweizen is now available across Colorado and Kansas for the spring season.
After a successful launch of Lone Tree’s Hefeweizen in cans in 2022, the brewery is excited to bring back this seasonal offering both in 12 oz. 6-packs and on draft. It’s a classic German-style Hefeweizen recipe that Head Brewer Dennis O’Harrow designed to mimic the unfiltered wheat beers he enjoyed while traveling in Munich. Brewed with Noble hops and wheat, and fermented with Weihenstephan yeast, Lone Tree Hefeweizen has notes of banana, spice, and clove that blend seamlessly to make it an easy sipper with only 5.4% ABV, perfect for welcoming warmer days.
“It’s exciting when a time-honored style like this Hefeweizen made with traditional ingredients is top-performing in the modern-day Colorado craft beer market,” says Lone Tree Sales and Marketing Director Dennis Stack. “Consumers are asking for bright, easy drinking, low ABV beers in 2023— and this wheat ale is the answer.”
Find Hefeweizen on tap at Lone Tree and in canned 6-packs while supplies last.

Bootstrap Brewing Announces Medal AF Mosaic IPA
Medal AF Mosaic IPA has a massive amount of Mosaic hops to provide a crisp finish with a pleasant lingering bitterness that encourages another sip.
LONGMONT, CO— Bootstrap Brewing announced today that its Medal AF Mosaic IPA will begin hitting store shelves in March through distribution partners in Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Utah, Missouri, and Idaho.
“While brainstorming new recipe ideas for our next can release over beers in the taproom, we came up with a really fun concept”, explained owner/brewer Steve Kaczeus. “What if we took the best ingredients and attributes of our two most medaled beers, Wreak Havoc and Stick’s, and created a new beer?”
Wreak Havoc Imperial Red and Stick’s Pale Ale have won 38 medals collectively including 3 at the highly competitive World Beer Cup and 4 at the Great American Beer Festival*
“Once we finalized the recipe, we turned our attention to the can design”, explained co-founder Leslie Kaczeus. “In line with our other animal themed can designs, we wanted to have a lot of fun with this can featuring a gorilla and other apes in a heavy metal scene for a play on words with ‘metal’ and ‘medal’. Moxie Sozo hit another home run by creating our main tattooed gorilla clutching a fist full of medals in his rock-n-roll hand surrounded by baboons, orangutans and chimpanzees smashing guitars, playing drums and of course our ever-present cowbell.”
The company will also donate a portion of beer sales proceeds to nonprofit groups with programs focused on the protection, conservation and education of apes. They have already started by adopting infant gorilla Uwacu from Dian Fossey’s Gorilla Fund based out of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Medal AF Mosaic IPA has a massive amount of Mosaic hops to provide a crisp finish with a pleasant lingering bitterness that encourages another sip. At 6.5% ABV and 53 IBUs, Medal AF will be available in 6 packs of 12-ounce cans and kegs for draft accounts.
*Wreak Havoc Imperial Red won:
Silver at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival in the Imperial Red Category
Bronze at the 2016, 2018, & 2022 World Beer Cup Competitions in the Imperial Red Category
Bronze at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival in the Imperial Red Category
Stick’s Pale Ale won
Gold at the 2016 and 2021 Great American Beer Festival in the American Pale Ale Category.

Lone Tree Brewing Reports Production and Philanthropic Impact in 2022 Year In Review
Lone Tree Brewing Company production, beer releases, events, and philanthropic impact report for 2022.
LONE TREE, CO— In 2022, Lone Tree Brewing maintained its community commitments with the production of both fan-favorite and innovative new beers, and more than $20,000 donated to philanthropic initiatives. Here is their Year in Review.
Production
Lone Tree produced 3,923 barrels of beer in 2022. 248,772 pounds of grain and 3,541 pounds of hops went into these recipes, which yielded 3,566 kegs of beer on draft and 567,120 cans.
Throughout the year, the brewery was able to recapture 111,600 gallons of water and reuse pallet wraps that saved 350 pounds of plastic wrap.
Lone Tree Hefeweizen, a tasting room favorite-turned-seasonal, hit cans for the first time in the spring of 2022. In the fall, the famed Vanilla Caramel Amber returned for its sixth season in cans.
Sales & Distribution
Lone Tree continued to sell beer across Colorado through distribution partners Western Distributing and Ska Brewing, and in Kansas through Worldwide Beverage Group.
On Halloween, the cult-followed Hop Zombie Imperial Red IPA escaped from the brewery in limited quantities after selling out in a matter of hours at the brewery.
Community and Events
Lone Tree donated more than $8,300 and many beers toward nonprofit organizations in 2022, including Drink for Pink, Big Dogs Huge Paws, the Evans Scholarship Fund, the Honor Bell Foundation, World Central Kitchen, and the Moving Mountains Animal Rescue.
The brewery was proud to bring back the second annual Douglas County School District Bridge Transition Program & Lone Tree Brewing car show, which raised more than $12,000. Lone Tree is also grateful for the six student interns from this program who help with daily tasks to keep the brewery in good working order.
Additionally, Lone Tree participated in Douglas County Library Brew Tours that raised funds and awareness for the Douglas County Libraries.
Over the course of the year, Lone Tree also hosted four local craft markets featuring 50 craft vendors; three dog adoption events with Big Dogs Huge Paws; a Halloween dog costume contest with 40 adorable pups in attendance; a Father’s Day Pig Roast with a 90-pound hog cooked by Hesher BBQ Catering; and its annual salsa and guacamole contest at which 30 contestants showed off their skills.
It’s worth noting that in 2022 Lone Tree Brewing staff achieved two hole-in-one shots at the Commonground Golf Course in Aurora, Colorado— both on the same day during a fundraiser for the Colorado Golf Association’s caddy program that Lone Tree Co-Owner Jerry Siote participated in as a kid.
In December when Lone Tree celebrated its 11th anniversary in community with their staff and many brewery regulars. “We are honored that our community chooses us again and again, reminding us that we wouldn’t be here without them,” says Lone Tree Founder and Co-Owner John Winter. “We’re committed to continue serving compelling, quality beers that help us do good outside of the brewery.”
Moving Forward
In 2023, Lone Tree has an exciting lineup of canned seasonals planned: Hefeweizen will return in spring; summer will reveal a brand new Honey Cream Ale; fall staples Oktoberfest and Vanilla Caramel Amber aren’t going anywhere; and winter will bring another new beer, Brownie Stout, to the mix. Stay tuned for release dates.
The brew team has plans for experimental, small batches that will be served in the tasting room only; and is actively exploring new products beyond beer, too. "2022 reinforced the importance of staying relevant for the long haul,” says Siote. “Our customers demand a high standard of consistency and quality from us, so we take that very seriously. When it gets this competitive along with all the other obstacles to grow and keep market share, the margin of error shrinks that much more. We love the challenge, and we know we have the goods to back it up."
Many events will enliven Lone Tree’s tasting room this year, starting with the Hearts & Hops Sock Hop with Swingin’ Denver and local band Last Call Romance. The brewery plans to host many returning favorites, such as its local craft markets, the third annual Douglas County School District Bridge Transition Program & Lone Tree Brewing car show, and another Drink For Pink fundraiser, among many other activities.
