COLORADO– Lone Tree Brewing, the first brewery in Lone Tree, will celebrate 13 years in business on Saturday, December 7 at both of its locations in Lone Tree and Parker, Colorado. A free shuttle service will be available to transport guests between the breweries, and each location will tap special beers for the occasion.

After opening its second location earlier in 2024, Lone Tree’s tasting room teams wanted to plan an anniversary party that gave guests the opportunity to celebrate at both taprooms. Enter a brewery bus loop and a bonus beer. This service will run from noon to 8pm, and riders can enjoy a surprise beer available exclusively on the bus. Both locations open at 11am when they’ll tap a Maple Doughnut Hazelnut Praline Imperial Stout and Barrel-Aged Barleywine. There will be custom etched insulated mugs available for purchase at both locations while supplies last.

At Lone Tree Brewing’s main location in Lone Tree, special tapings will include a Mocha Stout Firkin (noon), and a Mango Habanero IPA Firkin (2pm). The One and Only Jon Hamm will play live from 1 to 4pm, Mobile Screen Printing by White Rhino Printing begins at 1pm, and Silent Disco will close the night down from 5 to 9pm.

In the Lone Tree Parker tasting room, a Mexican Chocolate Stout Firkin will tap at 1pm and a Toasted Coconut Black IPA Firkin will tap at 3pm. Lindsey Giffey will play live from 1 to 4pm, and Music Bingo will begin at 7pm.

“Come for the beer, stay for the vibes,” says Lone Tree Brewing’s Assistant Tasting Room Manager Candace Peterson. “And then, get on the bus!”

Lone Tree Brewing Premieres Centennial Hat Trick IPA

Centennial Hat Trick IPA, named for its three Centennial hop ingredient additions, is a West Coast-style IPA brewed with American-grown Centennial hops, Centennial Cryo Hops®, and Centennial HyperBoost™ for a multi-layered flavor profile of citrus, pine, and tropical notes.

COLORADO– Lone Tree Brewing is excited to release a brand new IPA crafted with nouveau Yakima Chief Hops products. The new beer, Centennial Hat Trick IPA, taps at both Lone Tree locations Friday and hits shelves across Colorado next week.

The fact that it’s brewed in the Centennial State is an added bonus for its namesake.

Yakima Chief Hops Cryo Hops® pellets are the concentrated lupulin of whole-leaf hops containing resins and aromatic oils, and HyperBoost™ is a concentrated hop oil extract intended to amplify hop aromatics and increase yield. Both of these products are made from single-hop varieties to deliver variety-specific aroma boosts to the finished beer.

In nearly thirteen years in business now, Lone Tree has always experimented with different hop varieties and combinations, hopping techniques, terpenes, and other innovative hop products. “By using Centennial in all three forms (traditional T-90 hop pellets, concentrated Cryo Hops® pellets and now the concentrated HyperBoost™ oil extract), the resulting beer can hold a very saturated and layered hop profile with all aroma and flavor components shining through at the same time,” says Jerry Siote, Director of Brewhouse Operations. “Not only does it help the grower community continue to develop these products with our partners at Yakima Chief Hops; it also helps brewers accomplish a bold IPA with more yield to go around.”

Centennial Hat Trick IPA debuts on draft and in canned 6-packs at both of Lone Tree’s locations on Friday, November 22. Hop lovers can find it in select establishments and retailers across Colorado through the winter season.

Mexican Lager 12-Packs, 12 Years, and A GABF Medal: Lone Tree Brewing Publishes 2023 Year In Review

In 2023, Lone Tree Brewing won a coveted GABF® medal for its best-selling Mexican Lager, introduced 12-packs of said lager to distribution, contributed $4,500 to causes the brewery cares about, and celebrated 12 years in the Colorado craft beer business.

LONE TREE, CO— In 2023, Lone Tree Brewing won a coveted GABF® medal for its best-selling Mexican Lager, introduced 12-packs of said lager to distribution, contributed $4,500 to causes the brewery cares about, and celebrated 12 years in the Colorado craft beer business.

Here is the 2023 Lone Tree Brewing Company Year In Review.

Beer In Review

Lone Tree brought back its popular Hefeweizen, Oktoberfest, and Vanilla Caramel Amber in seasonal cans in 2023, and also introduced the year-round SKU Blueberry Blonde and winter seasonal Brownie Stout across Colorado and Kansas. In the fall, the legendary Hop Zombie Imperial Red IPA crept on tasting room taps for one day only. In the winter, the brewery introduced Brownie Stout in cans.

This year Lone Tree also introduced 12-packs of its flagship and decorated Mexican Lager. This beer, Lone Tree’s top seller, won its third Great American Beer Festival® medal, a silver in the American Light Lager category at the 2023 awards

Production

Lone Tree produced 3,543 barrels of beer in 2023, using 239,000 pounds of grain and 3,600 pounds of hops. Lone Tree filled 570,048 cans last year.

Throughout the year, the brewery recaptured 130,820 gallons of water and reused pallet wraps that saved 400 pounds of plastic wrap from landfills.

Sales & Distribution

Lone Tree sold beer across Colorado and Kansas through longstanding distribution partnerships; Western Distributing and Ska Brewing in Colorado, and Worldwide Beverage Group in Kansas.

Community and Events

Lone Tree’s philanthropic contributions totaled $4,500 in 2023. Among the recipients were Drink for Pink, Big Dogs Huge Paws, the Evans Scholarship Fund, Douglas County Libraries, the Honor Bell Foundation, and the Moving Mountains Animal Rescue. The third annual Douglas County School District Bridge Transition Program & Lone Tree Brewing car show raised more than $12,000 that helps facilitate the transition from school to the adult world through meaningful learning opportunities within the classroom and community.

In 2023, Lone Tree presented its annual market series including the Summer, Oktoberfest and Fall Craft markets; each featuring more than 20 local craft vendors.

Exciting for Lone Tree Brewing’s tasting room customers is the installation of a new photo wall that sports Lone Tree’s slogan, Take Root Grow Friends. Social media selfies are encouraged, with the hashtag #takerootgrowfriends.

In December of 2023, Lone Tree celebrated 12 years in business with four specialty beers made for the occasion. The brewery extends gratitude to its friends and family for coming out to celebrate another successful year in business.

Moving Forward

“We’re always giving our portfolio close examination to stay nimble in the dynamic Colorado beer marketplace, and we’re pleased to see consumer demand for styles that we love to brew the most— including lagers, fruit beer, and traditional European styles,” says Lone Tree Brewing Sales & Marketing Director Dennis Stack. “We’re thrilled that our customers love Hefeweizen and Oktoberfest, two seasonals that sold out rapidly last year. Both of those beers will return in 2024, along with two new seasonal cans: Juicy IPA in spring, and building upon the momentum of the Mexican Lager category with Lime Mexican Lager in summer.”

Lone Tree will celebrate the grand opening of its second location in Parker (at 18425 Pony Express Drive) on Friday, March 1. After years of searching for another space, the company is thrilled to expand in 2024.

Fresh fruit ale, Blueberry Blonde, from Lone Tree Brewing Company now available in Colorado and Kansas

LONE TREE, CO— Blueberry Blonde joins Lone Tree Brewing Company’s canned beer lineup this week to be distributed in Colorado and Kansas. This new beer is also available on tap at the brewery.

From peaches to strawberries and a variety of other fresh additions, Lone Tree’s brewing team loves to experiment with fruit. After experimenting with draft-only test batches of this new brew, these fruit beer aficionados are proud to share Blueberry Blonde in cans with beer drinkers across their distribution footprint. At 5.2% ABV, this ultra-refreshing thirst-quencher has the aroma of freshly picked blueberries and a subtle sweetness on the finish.

“We are excited to share the latest evolution of our beers with consumers, and Blueberry Blonde is another great example of elevating a traditional style with a subtle addition of fruit to create a fun, easy-drinking beer,” says Lone Tree Sales & Marketing Director Dennis Stack.

Blueberry Blonde is now available on draft and in kegs, as well as canned 12oz. 6-packs. The beer joins Lone Tree’s year-round beer lineup that also includes the award-winning Peach Pale and Mexican Lager, as well as Red Ale, IPA, and Double IPA.

Lone Tree Brewing Reports Production and Philanthropic Impact in 2022 Year In Review

Lone Tree Brewing Company production, beer releases, events, and philanthropic impact report for 2022.

LONE TREE, CO— In 2022, Lone Tree Brewing maintained its community commitments with the production of both fan-favorite and innovative new beers, and more than $20,000 donated to philanthropic initiatives. Here is their Year in Review.

Production

Lone Tree produced 3,923 barrels of beer in 2022. 248,772 pounds of grain and 3,541 pounds of hops went into these recipes, which yielded 3,566 kegs of beer on draft and 567,120 cans.

Throughout the year, the brewery was able to recapture 111,600 gallons of water and reuse pallet wraps that saved 350 pounds of plastic wrap.

Lone Tree Hefeweizen, a tasting room favorite-turned-seasonal, hit cans for the first time in the spring of 2022. In the fall, the famed Vanilla Caramel Amber returned for its sixth season in cans.

Sales & Distribution

Lone Tree continued to sell beer across Colorado through distribution partners Western Distributing and Ska Brewing, and in Kansas through Worldwide Beverage Group.

On Halloween, the cult-followed Hop Zombie Imperial Red IPA escaped from the brewery in limited quantities after selling out in a matter of hours at the brewery.

Community and Events

Lone Tree donated more than $8,300 and many beers toward nonprofit organizations in 2022, including Drink for Pink, Big Dogs Huge Paws, the Evans Scholarship Fund, the Honor Bell Foundation, World Central Kitchen, and the Moving Mountains Animal Rescue.

The brewery was proud to bring back the second annual Douglas County School District Bridge Transition Program & Lone Tree Brewing car show, which raised more than $12,000. Lone Tree is also grateful for the six student interns from this program who help with daily tasks to keep the brewery in good working order.

Additionally, Lone Tree participated in Douglas County Library Brew Tours that raised funds and awareness for the Douglas County Libraries.

Over the course of the year, Lone Tree also hosted four local craft markets featuring 50 craft vendors; three dog adoption events with Big Dogs Huge Paws; a Halloween dog costume contest with 40 adorable pups in attendance; a Father’s Day Pig Roast with a 90-pound hog cooked by Hesher BBQ Catering; and its annual salsa and guacamole contest at which 30 contestants showed off their skills.

It’s worth noting that in 2022 Lone Tree Brewing staff achieved two hole-in-one shots at the Commonground Golf Course in Aurora, Colorado— both on the same day during a fundraiser for the Colorado Golf Association’s caddy program that Lone Tree Co-Owner Jerry Siote participated in as a kid.

In December when Lone Tree celebrated its 11th anniversary in community with their staff and many brewery regulars. “We are honored that our community chooses us again and again, reminding us that we wouldn’t be here without them,” says Lone Tree Founder and Co-Owner John Winter. “We’re committed to continue serving compelling, quality beers that help us do good outside of the brewery.”

Moving Forward

In 2023, Lone Tree has an exciting lineup of canned seasonals planned: Hefeweizen will return in spring; summer will reveal a brand new Honey Cream Ale; fall staples Oktoberfest and Vanilla Caramel Amber aren’t going anywhere; and winter will bring another new beer, Brownie Stout, to the mix. Stay tuned for release dates.

The brew team has plans for experimental, small batches that will be served in the tasting room only; and is actively exploring new products beyond beer, too. "2022 reinforced the importance of staying relevant for the long haul,” says Siote. “Our customers demand a high standard of consistency and quality from us, so we take that very seriously.  When it gets this competitive along with all the other obstacles to grow and keep market share, the margin of error shrinks that much more. We love the challenge, and we know we have the goods to back it up."

Many events will enliven Lone Tree’s tasting room this year, starting with the Hearts & Hops Sock Hop with Swingin’ Denver and local band Last Call Romance. The brewery plans to host many returning favorites, such as its local craft markets, the third annual Douglas County School District Bridge Transition Program & Lone Tree Brewing car show, and another Drink For Pink fundraiser, among many other activities.

Lone Tree Brewing Company Presents 2020 Beer Release Calendar

Lone Tree Brewing Company is proud to debut seven new beers and bring back some classic favorites in 2020.

BO Pineapple Sour-1320267-min.jpg

LONE TREE, CO— Committed to producing unique and well-balanced beers in the coming year, Lone Tree Brewing is proud to release their 2020 beer calendar. This year the brewery will feature seven new beers and five familiar favorites.

Lone Tree will add a tasty new IPA to their year-round lineup that pays homage to the comeback of a revered style: the clear IPA. This West Coast-Style IPA will be available in early spring.

Strawberry Kiwi Blonde is a brand new seasonal that launches in April. The Lone Tree brewing team tested multiple recipes before landing on this 5.2 percent ABV, highly drinkable and refreshing beer with fruity notes that are perfect for the transition into summer.

New Zealand IPA, Lone Tree’s first new IPA of 2020 from the Hoppy Little Trees Project, Lone Tree’s rotating IPA series, will make its debut in March. This special beer, which was inspired by Jerry Siote of Lone Tree’s trip to New Zealand, features hops sourced solely from the highly sought after hop regions of New Zealand.

“Driving through the countryside of Nelson and seeing acres of hop farms side-by-side with wine vineyards was an amazing experience and illustrates how unique the growing conditions really are there,” says Jerry Siote, Lone Tree Director of Brewhouse Operations. “With such a small amount of acreage available for their hops, I realized how lucky we are to acquire and brew with these amazing varieties that craft brewers all over the world seek out.”

A nod to the wonderful work of the New Zealand cooperative growers with a world-class hop tradition, New Zealand IPA has a medium-bodied and golden colored malt profile that upholds the bold characteristics of Waimea, Pacific Jade, Motueka and Kohatu hops. Strong flavor and aroma profiles from the beer contribute fresh tropical fruit, "Mojito" lime, black pepper and overall citrus notes, as well as a crisp, hoppy finish with a balanced bitterness.

Another beer that will come out of the Hoppy Little Trees Project is Juicy IPA, a new crushable 6.5 percent IPA will arrive just in time for fall. The brewery will release another IPA coming out of this series for colder months. Details about this release will be available in coming months.

Branching Out, the brewery’s small-batch, specialty beer series, will welcome back Pineapple Sour in the spring. Last year, this crisp, tart blonde ale with a subtle pineapple finish had beer drinkers clamoring for more. At 4.5 percent ABV, this refreshing, sessionable beer arrives just in time for the summer. Continuing with the fruit theme, Lone Tree will release new beer Golden Berry Ale in the summer. With the addition of blackberries and raspberries, this traditional Belgian Golden Strong Ale has fruity flavors that burst through. Finally, Winter Warmer, a traditional British Old Ale spiced with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and clove will be available in fall, and Horchata Stout will return to close out 2020.

Other fan favorites include the annual release of the infamous Hop Zombie Imperial Red IPA, a tasting room only offering, as well as Vanilla Caramel Amber, both in the fall.

“As always, our most anticipated release of the year, Hop Zombie, has become quite the event in the tasting room with fans beyond the grave,” says Dennis Stack, Lone Tree Director of Sales and Marketing. “And don’t forget about Vanilla Caramel Amber, the perfect winter favorite after an epic day on the slopes.”

These beers will be available on draft and in canned six-packs at Lone Tree Brewing as well as within the brewery’s distribution footprint.
