Zach and Abby George opened Barrels & Bottles on 12th Street in downtown Golden in October 2013. Funkwerks opened shop in 2009 in the beer mecca, Fort Collins, CO. Founded by Brad Lincoln and Gordon Schuck and specializing in Saisons, Funkwerks has grown to 5,000 barrels and expanded their niche to sour ales and barrel-aged beers. Karl Strauss Brewing Company
Karl Strauss Brewing Company has pioneered the craft beer scene since 1989 with innovative beer releases like Aurora Hoppyalis IPA, Queen of Tarts Dark Sour, and Wreck Alley Imperial Stout. Lone Tree Brewing Company was the first brewery in Lone Tree, Colorado that opened near Park Meadows Mall in 2011. The neighborhood-focused, family-friendly brewery and tasting room regularly hosts community events that gather around a stylistically diverse lineup of flagship, seasonal, and limited release beers. Lone Tree's cans and 22-ounce bombers are sold across the state of Colorado, as well as Kansas and Nebraska. Station 26 Brewing Co.
Station 26 Brewing Co. brews craft beers in a 1960 fire station in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood. The brewery was founded in 2013 by Justin Baccary and friends. Station 26 is well-known for its draft-only flagship Juicy Banger IPA and its Great American Beer Festival medal-winning Colorado Cream Ale, which is brewed with Colorado-grown barley and hops. Station 26 cans five year-round beers (Colorado Cream Ale, Tangerine Cream, Pale Ale, American Copper, and a rotating Single Hop IPA series) and brews numerous seasonal and one-off draft-only beers. Strange Craft Beer Company
When Strange Craft Beer Co. opened just south of Denver’s Mile High Stadium in May 2010, it was the first nanobrewery in the city brewing one barrel of beer at a time. Strange has since become a destination spot for Colorado beer drinkers and taken home multiple awards, including two Great American Beer Festival medals and two World Beer Cups. Despite expansion to a 10 BBL brewhouse, owners Tim and Marni Myers are committed to small batches and nod to their nano roots with One Barrel Wednesdays for experimental brews. Each month the brewery donates proceeds from a nonprofit tap to a local charity through their Strangers Helping Strangers program, and offers a lineup of food trucks and other community events.
