Lone Tree Brewing Co. 2017 Year in Review

Production

Lone Tree Brewing Co. produced just over 3,000 BBL of beer that was distributed across Colorado and in select areas in Kansas and Nebraska. Lone Tree introduced its first seasonal canned beer, Cucumber Wheat, to the market in springtime. In the fall Lone Tree introduced Vanilla Caramel Amber in cans. At the tasting room, Lone Tree added Simcoe IPA to its year-round draft list.

Also in springtime, Lone Tree bottled its Biere de Printemps, a springtime beer, in bombers for the first time. This beer belongs to the Branching Out Series of experimental beers that became tasting room hits. It also includes India Pale Lager, Triple IPA, Cranberry Saison, English Old Ale, and Horchata Stout.

In coming months Lone Tree will introduce a mixed can 12-pack across its distribution footprint.

Expansion and Development

In spring, Lone Tree underwent a complete company rebrand with Anthem Branding, which includes a new logo, new package design for all of its cans and bombers, and a refreshed tasting room. In 2018 Lone Tree will redevelop its website to reflect its brand evolution.

In winter, the brewery expanded the square footage of its production space by1500 square feet to house the canning line and new brite tanks.

Lone Tree hired Chris Gilmore as Packaging Manager and added Alyssa Hoberer to its brewing team last year. Lone Tree now employs 15 people.

Awards

Lone Tree Brewing Company was awarded a gold medal for its Mexican Lager and a silver medal for its Hop Zombie IPA at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival® in the American Style Lager or Light Lager category and the Imperial Red Ale categories, respectively.

In December, Lone Tree celebrated its 6th anniversary with a Russian Imperial Stout, which is still available at the tasting room while supplies last.

Lone Tree continued its charity of the month program, and donated more to local nonprofit organizations in 2017 that in any previous year.
