Mortal launches in Sprouts Farmers Markets Innovation Coolers
Nationally expanding beverage company Mortal now in select SPROUTS stores through LA Libations
NATIONAL– Mortal is pumping up coolers at Sprouts’ innovation centers across Southern and Northern California with Mortal Power, its bold line of sparkling prebiotic waters with added functional ingredients, starting this month.
Mortal Power will be carried in fifty Sprouts Innovation Coolers across California. These Innovation Coolers, launched in 2021, showcase new-to-market items with an emphasis on wellness, or in Mortal’s case, power.
This is the brand’s first non-kombucha product, serving to pivot Mortal into the broader functional beverage space.
True to the name, Mortal Power is all about power. This super multi-tasking drink is pumped up with prebiotics, plus each flavor offers a unique hard-hitting, easy-to-understand functional ingredient. The drinks are available in four flavors/powers: Berry Cherry + Collagen, Prickly Pear Watermelon + Magnesium, Green Tea Lime w/Caffeine and Hibiscus Ginger + Electrolytes. Each 12 oz. can contains 20-30 calories and less than 4 grams of sugar and retail for $2.79 per unit.
According to Mortal founder and CEO Becca Schepps, “The launch of Power is a major evolution for our company. We always wanted to be more than a kombucha company. Last summer we launched an alcoholic offering, and with this prebiotic sparkling water we estimate that by the end of 2022, 50 percent of our revenue will be from non-traditional kombucha products.”
Find all four POWER flavors in select Sprouts Farmers Markets. Watermelon Prickly Pear has prebiotics and magnesium to chillax your mind, body and chaos. Hibiscus Ginger has added electrolytes and prebiotics. Green Tea Lime is loaded with 60mg of caffeine from green tea and prebiotics. Cherry Berry has prebiotics plus a blast of collagen to promote bone health and give you a glowing complexion and disposition. Each 12 oz. can of Mortal POWER is gluten-free, certified organic, 1% For The Planet certified, and Kosher; and has 30 calories or less and between 2 and 4g of added sugar - all from fruit. Learn more about them on Mortal’s web store.
“We are so excited to be working with Sprouts on the Power line. They have been real champions of innovation and that’s what Mortal’s future is all about.” stated Schepps.

Ska Brewing and Fort Lewis College Debut Skyhawk Single Hop Sultana IPA To Showcase Hop Research
Ska Brewing and the Fort Lewis College Chemistry Department are pleased to present Skyhawk Single Hop Sultana IPA just in time for graduation weekend.
DURANGO, CO— After months of hop research and experimentation, Ska Brewing and the Fort Lewis College Chemistry Department are pleased to present Skyhawk Single Hop Sultana IPA just in time for graduation weekend.
Articulate detail was taken to choose the hop in the Skyhawk Single Hop Sultana IPA. This IPA is the product of undergraduate research on hop biotransformation, using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis. It’s a full-bodied, luscious IPA rich with huge tropical notes of pineapple and mango that weighs in at 6.50% ABV.
This collaboration seeks to understand how different hops alter the taste and aroma of beer, reducing the dependency on trial and error, and wasted hops. “We’ve been really excited about this research because it furthers our analytical view of hop varieties, transcending a deeper understanding of how hops perform in the brewing process beyond just flavors and aromas in the resulting beer,” says Ska Brewing Brewmaster Steve Breezley. “This is knowledge we can only gain through trials that we’re thrilled to have Fort Lewis as a partner for.”
“I really appreciate the environmental science perspective on this project because that is really the end goal,” says Callie A. Cole, PhD Associate Professor at Fort Lewis College Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. “By developing these methods with Ska Brewing, we are hoping to ultimately have a positive environmental impact by increasing the efficiency of hopped beer production and reducing the demand on hops. It’s why people will fund this research. It’s a strong motivation for Ska to be involved as well as other breweries to be interested in this data.”
Skyhawk Single Hop Sultana IPA will tap on Fort Lewis’ 2022 commencement day, Saturday May 14, at Ska Brewing at 11am. The beer will be on draft only while supplies last.
Contact Emily Hutto at hutto@radcraftbeer.com for more information about this research partnership and the resulting beer.

The Empourium Brewing Wins 2022 World Beer Cup Medal For Atari’s Lantern Rice Lager
Berkeley Neighborhood Brewery Recognized at Global Beer Competition
DENVER, CO— The Empourium Brewing Company is beyond stoked to announce their recent win at the 2022 World Beer Cup® in the American-Style Lager category.
On the heels of a successful third anniversary celebration, this local brewery in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood continues celebrating with their first win in this prestigious global beer competition. This year, an international panel of 226 beer judges from 28 countries selected the winners for the largest World Beer Cup competition to date with 10,542 entries from 2,493 breweries in 57 countries. The American-Style Lager category had 100 entries.
The Empourium’s Atari’s Lager is a 4.8% ABV, easy-drinking Pilsner that employs flaked and Jasmine rice for about a third of its grist. It’s a lightly hopped, crisp and delicate craft lager that finishes dry. Its namesake is a reference to the Wes Anderson movie Isle of Dogs and like all of The Empourium’s beers, named out of pop culture inspiration and connectability with their customers. “If you've been to the Berkeley neighborhood, you know that it often feels like there are just as many dogs then there are people walking around,” says Co-Founder and Head Brewer Greg Fetzer. “About anytime you walk into the taproom or patio you'll see multiple of our furry neighborhood friends hanging out and we love it. This name and label was for all those goofballs.”
Notably, this batch of Atari’s Lantern is the first one that The Empourium has served. “That'll obviously have to change,” Fetzer says, explaining that a fresh batch is scheduled into the brew schedule this week. Fans will have to wait patiently for it to tap in approximately eight weeks, though they’ll never rush a batch… ever, he adds.
“Lagers are incredibly subtle and delicate beers that require attention to detail and a whole hell of a lot of patience. You don't have loads of hops or fruit to hide behind,” Fetzer says. “As a brewer when you release a light lager, you're really putting yourself out there saying ‘hey, here is what I can do’.” He and his team huddled behind a laptop in the back of the brewhouse on a busy Thursday night to catch the World Beer Cup awards, and they couldn’t be prouder to produce a beer recognized at this level.

Monumental Beer Works Rebrands As Base Camp Beer Works
Grand Junction Local Brewery Purchases Base Camp Brewing Trademark
GRAND JUNCTION, CO— Trademark issues have driven Monumental Beer Works to change its name after two years serving craft beer to the Grand Junction community. Now with a new location in Fruita nearly open, the local brewery originally named as a nod to its location at the base of the Colorado National Monument will become Base Camp Beer Works.
Effective last week, Monumental Operations Manager and Co-Founder Brian Fischer purchased the Basecamp Brewing trademark from its owners who operated the former namesake in Southeast Portland’s Buckman neighborhood. Monumental Beer Works was created as a base camp for exploration on Colorado’s Western Slope, and quickly became an aprés destination for local and visiting expeditioners alike. Base Camp embodies the Monumental company ethos— it’s a symbol for the brewery’s foundation; their roots; their base camp for relaxation and reliving adventures. The new name complements the Grand Valley’s outdoor-oriented, adventure-seeking lifestyles to boot.
This decision came after an exhaustive and integrated selection process that involved many voices— including the many hundred who suggested names when the brewery asked its community for input. In total they received more than 500 responses. “While most of the suggestions were already trademarked, we got a lot of great beer name ideas out of this process and were so grateful to our community for their support of this transition,” Fischer says. “The sheer volume of names we came across that were already taken demonstrates the challenges that craft beverage companies face in the market at large right now.”
Base Camp will celebrate its new name with refreshed branding at a grand re-opening party in coming months. Soon its social media platforms will transition to @basecampbeerworks. The website, tasting room, and merchandise will all undergo updates over the course of the next several weeks. Customers interested in snagging the last of the now vintage Monumental Beer Works gear should do so quickly while supplies last.
Base Camp’s new Fruita location in planning will also be rebranded under the name Base Camp Provisions with social media platforms @basecampfruita. This new location will have a full kitchen and a fresh menu, with local and regional wine, spirits, and beer selections that guests can enjoy on a massive patio space (and inside, too) before and after their adventures. Base Camp Provisions is slated to open this summer.

Eddyline Brewery and Lone Tree Brewing Go Beyond Treeline To Produce New Canned IPA
Beyond Treeline is a bold, experimental Double IPA made with a lot of passion for the Colorado beer community.
COLORADO— Eddyline Brewery and Lone Tree Brewing are proud to premier their new Beyond Treeline IPA, born out of the relationship between the two brewery sales teams.
Eddyline and Lone Tree have long shared a distribution house, Western Distributing, and high-fived at events all over the Front Range and the Arkansas Valley of Colorado. The 2022 Colorado Brewers Guild Collaboration Festival gave them a reason to make a beer together— and to go beyond the horizon. Beyond Treeline is a bold, experimental Double IPA made with a lot of passion for the Colorado beer community.
Hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, and two experimental hops from Hop Breeding Company– Talus™ and the fresh hybrid HBC 586— Beyond Treeline is quenching, with fruit-forward hop aroma, low bitterness, and a soft mouthfeel. Huge peach and stone fruit on the nose meet tropical flavors like guava, pineapple, and coconut in this innovative IPA, all balanced out by subtle oak and herbal notes on the finish. Its beautiful orange, slightly hazy hue is reminiscent of sunset casting on treeline.
Beyond Treeline will debut in cans across Colorado in April with artwork that features Lone Tree’s signature tree design and Eddyline’s hop-bearded can character, who’s sporting backpack stickers for each brewery and a special heart for Colorado craft beer legend Andy Jessen.

Collaboration Beers Abound at Living The Dream Brewing Company
It’s unofficial collaboration brew season at Living The Dream Brewing Company, who are partnering with several Colorado breweries on beers to be served at Collaboration Fest, and to support the Pink Boots Society.
LITTLETON, CO– It’s unofficial collaboration brew season at Living The Dream Brewing Company, who are partnering with several Colorado breweries to create specialty beers that span styles and concepts; to be served at Collaboration Fest, and to support the Pink Boots Society.
Fresh off a tapping of the Treat Yo Self Stout made with Lady Justice Brewing for Stout Month, Living The Dream brewers collaborated on three beers that are now available while supplies last. Meet them here.
Pink Boots Society
A celebration of the Pink Boots Society International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day, A Kühl Of Their Own is an experimental Lager that was brewed at 105 West Brewing in Castle Rock. It’s inspired by all things fun in the sun, baseball, peaches, Big League Chew®, and cold beer. The name is a clever combination of a classic women’s baseball movie reference, and the German word Kühl, meaning cool, cold, or chilly. This beer will be available at Living the Dream, Platt Park Brewing Co., and 105 West Brewing Co.
Monumental Beer Works
For Collaboration Fest 2022, Living the Dream wanted to partner with Western Slope breweries who they often visit when they’re out playing in Colorado’s wilderness. First up, they called previous Living The Dream team member Brian Fischer of Monumental Beer Works and the two breweries created Hurricane Hazy IPA. It’s inspired by a Hurricane cocktail, infused with flavors of passionfruit, orange, lime, and cherry.
“It’s very fulfilling seeing Monumental succeed and grow,” said Jason Bell, Founder of Living the Dream.
Ska Brewing
In another Collaboration Fest 2022 partnership, Living the Dream teamed up with Ska Brewing to brew Living The Ska Dream Double IPA. The focus in this brew was hop additions, and lots of them. Brewers used nine unique hops and multiple hopping techniques. “We wanted a big base to build on but didn’t want to get into the ‘Triple IPA’ range,” says Living The Dream Head Brewer Rob Meehan. “We’ve got bittering, aroma, whirlpool, dip hop, and dry hop additions to show how each variety can add something unique based on type of addition.”
Living the Dream is excited to work with Colorado beer icon Ska to create something truly unique that can be enjoyed across the state.
Try all of these storied beers, and more, in the Living The Dream tasting room and at the collaborating locations while supplies last. Contact Emily Hutto at hutto@radcraftbeer.com with media inquiries about any of the above.

Crystal Springs Brewing Co., Great Divide Brewing Co., and Lone Tree Brewing Co. Collaborate on Colorado Sweep Wheat Ale
Colorado Breweries Collaborate on American Fruit Beer after sweeping 2021 GABF Category.
Photo courtesy Nikki A Rae Photography
DENVER, CO— Last year three prized Colorado craft breweries made headlines when they swept the competitive American Fruit Beer category at the 2021 Great American Beer Festival®. Their collaboration brew Colorado Sweep, an American Wheat Ale, is now available at each brewery’s tasting room.
The hardware that the Crystal Springs Blood Orange Kölsch (gold), Great Divide Wild Raspberry Ale (silver), and Lone Tree Peach Pale Ale (bronze) took home last year was the perfect impetus for these Front Range breweries to join forces for a collaboration beer to celebrate and serve at the annual Colorado Brewers Guild Collaboration Fest.
“This idea came about immediately after the GABF awards were announced in September 2021,” says Matt Sandy, Great Divide’s Marketing Manager. The winners were Crystal Springs Blood Orange Kölsch (gold), Great Divide Wild Raspberry Ale (silver), and Lone Tree Peach Pale Ale (bronze). “Because Colorado swept the American Fruited Ale category, we thought it would be fun to collaborate with the other breweries and keyed in on Collaboration Fest as being the perfect arena to celebrate this group effort. Not only has the fest become one of the country’s premier showcases for unique collaborations, it also fell around the same time we were planning on releasing our winning beer, Wild Raspberry Ale, in 6-packs.”
Crystal Springs, Great Divide, and Lone Tree gathered last month to craft an American Wheat Ale with both white and flaked Wheat, and Hallertau Magnum, Saaz, Cascade, and Lemondrop hops to create complexity of body, and refreshing, citrus and fruit-forward flavors. The breweries then added blood orange, raspberry, and peach to represent the fruits in all three of the award winners.
“The combination of fruits contributed by each brewery should create a fun and refreshing beer that we are all excited to share with the public at Collaboration Fest,” says Lone Tree Sales & Marketing Director Dennis Stack.
Festival-goers at Collaboration Fest should be on the lookout for this inspired fruit beer before it’s gone. Catch Colorado Sweep on tap at each brewery’s respective locations while supplies last.

The Empourium Brewing Celebrates Three Years of Craft Beer in Denver’s Berkeley Neighborhood April 15 and 16
In the truest fashion for this spirited Denver craft brewery, their three anniversary beers are named with some of their favorite movie references.
DENVER, CO— Three times is a charm for The Empourium Brewing Company, who will commemorate three years in business with their Anniversary Party on April 15 and 16. This will be the first year that the Berkeley neighborhood brewery can celebrate to the fullest without COVID closure or restrictions, and you’re invited.
The Empourium will release three beers in honor of the occasion. In the truest fashion for this spirited brewery, these beers are named with some of their favorite pop culture references. On Friday April 15, look for the release of a Zoiglbier called You Son Of A Bitch I’m In! This bottom-fermented lager will be poured straight from the fermenter for guests to see through the glass brewery doors.
The Empourium will bring back its cold, lager yeast-fermented IPA, Freezing My Nay Nays Off, on Saturday April 16. Also debuting Saturday, the third beer is a farmhouse ale, Don't Have a Good Day, Have a Great Day, crafted with juniper berries and lemon peel, and fermented with Norwegian kveik yeast.
Come for the beer, stay for the live music and fresh eats from The Empourium’s favorite food trucks. On Friday, Man of 1000 Songs will play at 6pm, and on Saturday Stephen Castle will kick off live music at 1pm followed by The Traveling Rose Band at 3pm. Little Red’s Kitchen will serve on Friday, and Pho King Rapidos will roll up on Saturday. This anniversary weekend also marks the last weekend for the brewery’s extended patio, which will scale back in the recovery days after the party.
After three years, The Empourium has become a Tennyson Street staple. The brewery is excited to expand their self distribution in 2022. They plan to experiment with barrel aged beers and new flavors, with no plans of stopping their movie-inspired beer names.
“We feel like this is the first year in our company history that we get to have this celebration as intended,” says The Empourium co-founder Sara Fetzer. “We couldn’t have gotten through these last three years without our community, so we’re thrilled to welcome them out to drink these new beers with us.”

DURANGO, CO– Some call it springing forward, others say the start of patio weather, and in Southwest Colorado this time of year has come to be known as Mexican Logger season. 2022 marks the twenty third year that Ska Brewing has brewed the original craft lager, and a return to normalcy for the brewery that hasn’t celebrated this release for three years.
Ska has brewed this easy-drinking light lager since 1999, and received many accolades for it since— including Great American Beer Festival® awards in the International Style Pilsner category in 2015 and 2016. It’s crisp and clean, cold fermented with a lager yeast strain from Mexico City and weighing in at a crushable 5 percent ABV.
Ska is thrilled to celebrate the kickoff of spring with this beer release on Thursday, March 31. Durango locals The Lawn Chair Kings will play beginning at 5pm, and brewery-goers can expect beer and food specials to celebrate the occasion. “Without this party to kickoff the season, I just wake up one day drinking beer in the middle of the summer without realizing it even began,” says Ska Brewing CEO Dave Thibodeau. “Patio season deserves a proper kickoff this year.”
In 2020, Ska released Mexican Logger’s dark-hued sister to satisfy the urge for Mexican-style Lager during the cold months. Mexican-style Lager Dark will go into hibernation now until the fall.

ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP
Ryan Evans, the owner of Bruz Beers, spent his college years in Durango, Colorado attending and ultimately graduating from Ft. Lewis College. He was enjoying the delicious beers Ska was serving up in the late 90’s, and always had a fondness for their beers as well as their edgy attitude.
Bruz Beers has been hugely successful on the Front Range, with two tasting rooms in the Denver area as well as a growing wholesale distribution network. Looking to continue the growth, Evans states “I always wanted to bring our beers back to my old romping grounds of Southwest Colorado! It’s too far away to properly service on our own from Denver. With that being said, our partnership with Ska Distributing allows us to bring our brand full circle and return to the area. Working with friends is a bonus as well.”

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Parker, Colorado at Barnett & Son Brewing
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Thursday this year, which was all the motivation Barnett & Son needed to host a 3-day celebration to showcase some of their favorite Irish and Scottish-inspired beer styles.
PARKER, CO— Barnett & Son Brewing will bring back its popular St. Patrick’s Day celebration for the seventh year on March 17, 18, and 19.
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Thursday this year, which was all the motivation Barnett & Son needed to host a 3-day celebration to showcase some of their favorite Irish and Scottish-inspired beer styles. Usual suspects Saoirse Irish Red, and Falling Skye Scottish Ale will join a batch of Mo Chroi Irish Black Ale made for holiday, with a green beer on tap for good measure. The long weekend will include daily performances by the Celtic Steps dance group and Centennial’s Reed School of Irish Dance, and live music by Juice O’ The Barley on Friday and Saturday.
Saoirse, Irish for freedom, is a red and malty Irish-style ale with approachable hop bitterness This four-time Denver International Beer Competition (DIBC) winner is one of Barnett & Son’s most popular beers.
Falling Skye Scottish Ale is another winner and returning favorite at the brewery. A rich and malty character from Maris Otter barley malts meet hints of whiskey flavor in this homage to classic Scottish Ales that’s balanced out with Golding hops.
Barnett & Son will be introducing not only some old favorites, but two small batch brews as well, including their Mo Chroi Irish Black Ale. Mo Choi, “my heart” in Gaelic, is a tongue-in-cheek poke at owner Andy’s black heart.
“Irish Black is not an officially recognized beer style, but rather an accident that we wanted to drink,” says brewery Founder Andy Barnett. “Some of the best beers are incepted by mistake.”
Mo Chroi Irish Black Ale gets its color and full body from the unplanned addition of Roast instead of Special Roast malt to a batch of wheat. The final beer struck a balance between deep malt flavor upfront and clean, subtle bitterness on the finish that characterizes many Irish-style ales, so it earned a place in the annual St. Patrick’s Day lineup.
Keep the specialty glass while supplies last, buy a special t-shirt made for the occasion, and come hungry for Irish-inspired eats prepared by three food trucks: The Family Meal will serve on Thursday, Schnitzelwirt on Friday, and Uncle Tapas on Saturday.
Media interested in attending this celebration can contact Emily Hutto at hutto@radcraftbeer.com.

Ska Brewing Releases A New Beer… That’s Not an IPA
Ska Brewing Raspberry Blonde Ale Hits Shelves in March 2022.
DURANGO, CO– Just in time for the turn of the season, Ska Brewing presents a fruited rendition of its oldest and most decorated recipe, True Blonde Ale. Raspberry Blonde will tap for the first time at Ska on Friday and cans hit shelves across Ska markets next week.
“Our last several big can releases might suggest otherwise, but we experiment with more than just hops,” jokes Ska CEO Dave Thibodeau. “In this case we’ve been excited for this fruit addition in our beloved True Blonde Ale, which goes as far back as the brewery does.”
True Blonde Ale was Ska’s first brewed, tapped, and canned recipe. Over the years it has earned two World Beer Cup® awards and a Good Food Award from the Good Food Foundation. It has also been recognized at the Colorado State Fair, the LA County Fair, the European Beer Star awards, the Australian International Beer Awards, and the L.A. International Beer Competition. Most recently True Blonde was awarded a 2021 Great American Beer Festival® medal in the English Ale category, bringing this beer’s GABF® award count up to five.
Raspberry Blonde is crafted with subtle Cascade hop additions that balance the zest of the fruit in the recipe. At 5 percent ABV, it belongs in Ska’s wheelhouse of light-bodied, easy drinking ales and lagers like the classic Colorado Mexican-style lager, Mexican Logger, and its Grapefruit sister Rue B. Soho, Thibodeau adds. “It’s a colorful beer with vibrant, bright flavor notes.
Raspberry Blonde will tap on Friday, March 4 at Ska’s World Headquarters in Durango, Colorado. Canned 6 packs of the new beer join Ska’s year-round portfolio in all of its markets next week.
Media assets for Raspberry Blonde Ale are available for download here. Contact Emily Hutto at hutto@radcraftbeer.com with any questions.

Uhl’s Brewing Celebrates Second Anniversary with a Duo of Barrel-Aged Beer Releases
Known for their love of barrel-aged beers, it’s only natural that Uhl’s Brewing would celebrate their anniversary weekend with a double release.
BOULDER, CO– Uhl’s Brewing is turning two in March and celebrating that accomplishment with a weekend of music, food, and barrel-aged beer releases.
Uhl’s will be hosting their anniversary weekend on Saturday, March 19 from 12-9pm and on Sunday, March 20 from 12-8pm. Festivities will include live music from The Desert Furs on Saturday from 6-8pm and Alex Mackenzie-Low of A-Mac on Sunday from 5-7pm. Additionally, Charlotte’s Lil Kitchen will be serving up Mediterranean-inspired fare on Saturday and Kingcomo’s Quesadillas will be there Sunday serving up creative, cheesy snacks. The brewery will release their anniversary beer, Barrel Aged Big Mole Stout, and a rum barrel-aged Belgian Quadrupel named What Did We Do?
Uhl’s Barrel Aged Big Mole Stout is brewed with a laundry list of exotic ingredients, including Ecuadorian cacao nibs, Tahitian and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans, Vietnamese and Indonesian cinnamon, and ancho chili peppers from south of the border. Every batch is brewed with slight tweaks on the spice levels, adjusted by the owner Aaron Uhl, to bring out the best flavor every time. Big Mole’s creation stemmed from an award-winning homebrew recipe, inspired by some of the best spiced beer makers in the world, Perennial Artisan Ales, Prairie Artisan Ales and Cigar City. Specifically, Aaron took flavor notes from Prairie’s Bomb! and Perennial’s Abraxas stouts to create his Barrel Aged Big Mole.
"The feedback I got on the original homebrew recipe helped me realize I just may be able to make it on a larger scale,” said Aaron. And indeed he did. Uhl’s will be releasing the Barrel Aged Big Mole, which was aged in a single 9-year-old Buffalo Trace barrel for 14 months, on the weekend of their anniversary.
Uhl’s What Did We Do? is a rum barrel-aged Belgian quadrupel that rested for 12 months in 20-year-old rum barrels from South America before getting racked on more than 50 pounds of fresh bananas, 30 pounds of raw coconut flakes, 2 pounds of Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans and just a hint of cassia chips to round it out. The resulting flavors and aromas ignite the imagination with thoughts of hot buttered rum cakes and Bananas Foster desserts. What Did We Do? is really what you will be asking yourself, as nothing like this has ever been made on the Front Range.
Known for their love of barrel-aged beers, it’s only natural that Uhl’s would celebrate their anniversary weekend with a double release. This anniversary not only marks two years of business, but two years of business beginning in and continuing through the COVID-19 pandemic. Aaron and Uhl’s have overcome pandemic-era challenges and continue to provide the Boulder community with delicious options.
Aaron Uhl and the whole Uhl’s family want to welcome guests to celebrate their two year milestone this March. Join them for local food, good music, a special limited edition anniversary glass, and plenty of delicious beer.

LITTLETON, CO— Living The Dream Brewing Company is coming off of its best sales year yet, which included the introduction of many new SKUs to the Colorado beer marketplace. The brewery was proud to expand its team and continue to serve its community amid the pandemic climate with great beer and philanthropic efforts. Behold, the 2021 Living The Dream Brewing Year in Review.
PRODUCTION & SALES
2020’s installation of a Forgeworks 15 BBL brewhouse, an Alpha Brewing Operations canning line, and a Ska Fabricating Half Pint depalletizer allowed Living The Dream to expand sales, distribution, and capacity in 2021. The addition of new tanks in 2021 continued that expansion, and allowed Living the Dream to experience a massive growth in production.
Living the Dream surpassed 2000 BBL in 2021, a 33% growth from the previous year. Their wholesale numbers grew 80+%. In this focus on wholesale operations, they added sales representatives and grew their overall footprint.
TEAM
Living The Dream Brewing continued to expand the Living The Dream team, which is now up to 14 employees. Thanks to the commitment of their staff to take changes in their stride, the brewery was fortunate enough to not lay off any employees through COVID-19 restrictions.
BEER
Living the Dream Brewing released numerous beers on tap in 2021, including fresh variants of the award-winning Powder Run Vanilla Cream Ale, canned Fly Reel Amber and Mountain Drive, and the first-ever can in their Cocktail Series— a Barrel Aged Old Fashioned American Strong Ale.
Living The Dream partnered with the Highlands Ranch, Colorado Whole Foods location to release a small batch of an experimental IPA: Zap! Smash! that was available in the fall for a short time. Living the Dream plans to continue their partnership with Whole Foods this year.
ACCOLADES
Living The Dream Brewing was honored at the 2021 Can Can Awards with not one, but three medals. 7 Speed IPA took home gold in the American IPA category, Ice Climber Double IPA was awarded silver in the Double IPA category, and Powder Run Cream Ale took silver in the Fruit, Herb, and Spice category.

COMMUNITY
Living The Dream’s continued its partnership with the Highlands Ranch Community Association, which included the Backcountry Wilderness Wheat and the Midnight Trail Cam Wheat beer collaborations, and Beer For Bucks night with donations for each pint sold. In total, the brewery donated $3,137 to the association in 2021— a 20 percent increase from 2020’s contributions.
“We also sponsor and support the Highlands Ranch Race Series and donate to many local fundraisers,” said Living the Dream owner Jason Bell. “Community support is critical to us.”
MOVING FORWARD
2022 is underway at Living the Dream with fresh beer releases and events like Monday trivia, Bend & Brew yoga, and monthly Rotating Tap comedy night. The brewery’s partnership with the Highlands Ranch Community Association is among their community priorities, along with the continued Beer For Bucks program on the third Thursday of each month.
Customers can also look forward to the return of the brewery’s barrel-aged beer showcase, and the company’s 8th anniversary celebration this summer.
