Station 26 Brewing Co. canned its millionth can in 2017, a year that was also marked by significant growth in personnel for the company, the inaugural Black Friday Invitational, and more.
Station 26 brewed 4,400 BBL in 2017. Station 26 introduced its first seasonal canned beer, Lemondrop Wheat, to the market in springtime. In July, the company canned its millionth beer.
Todd Luther, Sales Manager; Abby Cadogan, Sales Representative; Hamlet Fort, Marketing + Events Manager; Nick Hulbert, Delivery Driver; and Jac Gregory of Order 26 Food Truck joined the Station 26 family in 2017. Already in January 18 the brewery has two new Sales Representatives, Justin Hou and Cessna Herrera.
Bikers rejoiced in the springtime when Station 26 installed a new bike rack that spans almost the entire block in front of it. The brewery launched its new Trailer Bar over the summer to better serve its high volume of customers. Next came a heated tent over its patio to provide additional seating during winter months. Inside are two new 30 BBL fermentation tanks.
On Black Friday, Station 26 hosted the Inaugural Black Friday Invitational to release the brewery's sought-after Barrel- Aged Imperial Stout and its variants. This celebration of Imperial Stout kicks off stout-drinking season with beers from Station 26 and fellow breweries who also love the style.
In December, the brewery celebrated its fourth birthday with a beer brewed for the occasion: a Belgian-style Quad aged in Port barrels with plums.
Throughout the year, Station 26 took home the following hardware from beer competitions—
Tangerine Cream, Gold at the Los Angeles International Beer Competition
American Copper, Gold at the 2017 Northern California Brew Competition at the Sonoma County Fair American
Passionfruit Gose, Gold at the Colorado State Fair
Pale Ale, Bronze at the Colorado State Fair
Juicy Banger IPA, Gold at the 2017 San Diego International Beer Festival
Copper, Bronze at the Can Can Awards
Last month, Order 26 Food Truck opened at the brewery under the leadership of Operations Manager Dustin Darker and Head Chef Jac Gregory. Later in 2018, guests can expect collaborations with local chefs, lunch hours, and more from this New American Mobile Diner.
